This usually means that you need to update the MDAC file. Instructions for doing this can be found in the booklet that came with your CD. If this doesn't work, or if you no longer have the booklet, you can download a free MDAC update from Microsoft by following the link below. Several choices are available, beginning with the most recent version. Follow the instructions given on the download page of the Microsoft web site.

If updating the MDAC file doesn't solve the problem, you may need to update the JET database engine. This jet file is in the Utilities folder of your CD-ROM. If you no longer have the CD-ROM, you can download a free JET file from Microsoft by following the link below. Several choices are available. Select the one appropriate for your version of Windows. Follow the instructions given on the download page of the Microsoft web site.
Update JET database engine
This is usually a memory problem within your own computer. The BFP program and the scoresheets take up a lot of memory, which can max out the allowable memory on your computer. Try rebooting your computer, then open ONLY the BFP program.
The Bible Fact-Pak cards allow for only one topic to be written on each card. The CD-ROM, however, is more versatile, allowing for some questions to be placed in more than one topic, and allowing for a greater variety of topics. The topics on the CD are provided as a courtesy and are not meant to be an official list for quizzing purposes. Only a few districts quiz by topical groupings, and these groupings may vary from district to district. The topical listings on the CD program can be used as a starting point for creating quizzing lists. Coordinators are encouraged to create their own custom groups using the CD topical listings as a base from which to start. Once the questions are pulled into a custom group, questions can be added or deleted as desired. Coaches in districts that quiz by topics are encouraged to obtain the official quizzing list from their district JBQ coordinator.
It has been reported that Windows ME is not a stable operating system and has always been problematic. Since these are deep internal problems with Windows ME and not with our Fact-Pak program, there is no "fix" we can offer as a download. If you have Windows ME and it has been working fine for you, you may have no problems running the Fact-Pak program. We did feel it necessary, however, to warn Windows ME users that difficulties may arise.
Yes, the program works with all versions of Windows beginning with Windows 98.
No. Each church may purchase only one CD and allow every coach within that church to install the program on their computers. We only ask that you not share the CD with another church.
There are no functions on the Fact-Pak program for quizzers (i.e., interactive games for practice), thus there is no reason for a quizzer to install the program on his computer. This CD was created for coaches and officials to create quiz rounds and print study guides.
The Bible Fact-Pak program cannot do this, but you can do it in Microsoft Word by converting the text to a table. For instructions, click here.
